How to fix Permission denied issue?

    Hello!

    I was making changes to the footer.php permission settings using the MiwoFtp plugin and now I get this error on the frontend:

    Warning: require_once(/srv/ink-blog/html/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /srv/ink-blog/html/wp-content/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/common.php on line 123 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/srv/ink-blog/html/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear’) in /srv/ink-blog/html/wp-content/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/common.php on line 123

    I’m also locked out the backend of the website and get this error: 403 – Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin on this server.

    I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this. Thank you very much for helping, in advance.

    The blog I need help with is blog.ink-global.com.

    what permission rights have you set to the footer.php?

    I set the permission rights to make the footer.php writeable. I cant remember the specific rights in terms of the permission modes.

    At first I had this error pop up Directory ”/srv/ink-blog/html/wp-admin” is writeable by others

    So I think that somehow edit I made to the footer.php, affected the wp-admin folder.

    Do you have access to c-panel or any other FTP?
    It is quite possible that some strict no write/read permissions have been set by the plugin.
    If you have ftp access try to see what are the permissions of wp-admin, in many cases they should be 755
