How to fix maintentance mode on both fontend and fonton of website

  • Hello

    I’m using WordPress for few days. Plese be patient…

    I installed wordpress on my own domain.
    Next I try some motives and plugins.

    Now I have on fonton and fontend site “mantentance mode”.
    I don’t have on main WordPress folder on FTP file

    “.maintentance”

    on any similar.

    I try also create file fix.php with code:

    “<?php array_map(‘unlink’, glob(“.maintenance”)); ?>”

    put in main folder with ftp.
    And try run file: https://www.mydomain.com/fix.php

    This didn’t work.
    One of plugins was “WP Maintenance Mode” (maybe it’s important).

    Plese hepl with restoring website.

    iwiersze.pl (polish domain).

    means in general: Website is actually

    during maintenance

    That’s not the message from a .maintenance file, so something else is generating it.

    Viewing the page’s source, I see

    https://www.iwiersze.pl/wp-content/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/assets/css/style.min.css

    which indicates that a plugin is doing it. Try deleting that plugin via FTP or your hosting control panel. Delete the directory wp-content/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode

    Thank you Steve Stern. I have deleted:

    wp-content/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode

    like you wrote before.

    Website work on fonton and fontend.
    Can I have a litte 2 quetions more?

    Is deleting plugin directory safe for website?
    Before I was working on joomla and I don’t remenber such solutions like deleting plugins directory (I know.. wordpress is another CMS).

    Can I once again install wp maintentance plugin? – I want use maintentance mode, this is my purpose.

    Deleting a plugin is a last resort; it seemed like you were in a dire situation.

    You can reinstall it but read the docs carefully so you know how to login while it’s active.
