How to Find Host Name?

  • I have downloaded FileZilla to use for back up etc. I need my Host Name, where do I get/see my Host Name? Many thanks viewers, Dave

    you can get FileZilla help at https://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Using

    Usually FIleZilla is used to access a remote server thr’ FTP/SFTP
    for uploading/downloading/modifying files on your webserver or similar tasks.

    Host will be usually your webhost

    For me, ‘Host’ is my own ‘domain.com’ and I use ‘Normal’ as my ‘Logon Type’ along with my server credentials. I also use SFTP (more secure ‘Protocol’) rather than FTP, but you might have to ask your server host about that since it might or might not be available.
