How to fight against fake registrations?

  • Can anybody tell me how to fight against fake registrations?

    I blocked several email-areas,
    I set up to force a strong password.

    The fake registrations have nearly all the same input.
    For example …

    • City: Gamecube, PC or something like that
    • Phone: all numbers beginn with “8”

    Is it possible to filter this out?
    Can you realize this option to filter?

    Here are two Examples … how to filter them out?

    “Gamecube” is part of City and
    phone number is allways beginning with “8” on fake registrations.

    There is no way to block 100% of spam, but you can block most of bots if you follow these recommendations:

    • Disable default WordPress registration form
    • Use Google reCAPTCHA
    • Disallow third-party plugins to create an account
    • Approve new members after email verification
    • Use unique links
