    Hi,

Is it possible for me to make my hosted WordPress blog tags searchable at WordPress.com?

How can I best ‘expose’ (what’s a better term) my blog on the web? Are there any specific things I can do to make my blog/tags part of search engine databases?

    Thanks,

    David

No, unless you blog on WordPress.com

You can use Google Webmaster tools and SEO plugins. You also need some patience.

Yep, a lot of patience. The Search Engine Optimisation plugin lets you write a title tag for each post that’s different to the actual title. Hopefully this is what people Google for so your blog comes to the top of their search. Another thing I’m working on is Netvibes which lets you make a public page of your own blogs and your favourites. Also, claim your blog in Technorati which will then track it. Submit your blog to blogcatlog.com and use the widgets which track who’s visited your blog. Link to other similar blogs, write comments on other blogs, subscribe to lots of blog (ie feeds), explain in great detail who you are and what you’re blogging about on your blog.

I’d probably be best to split my blog up into several separate blogs since I have been blogging about so many different subjects.

Regardless, I returned to ask about the WordPress.com Stats plug-in. This makes no changes to exposure?

I only ask because while I was at WordPress.com I noticed that my hosted blog name was linked to the blog I used when installing that stats application.
