How to export website data from jobroller to jobify theme

    I have bought the jobify theme which has wp job manager plugins. Currently my website has jobroller plugin. My website has more than 500 MB data. I want to export my data from jobroller to jobify. I tried with duplicator plugin to export data but it couldn’t be completed because of the huge data. Please tell me how can I transfer all my data from jobroller to my newly bought jobify theme.

    Hello,

    If you are moving data to a new WP install you’ll either need to migrate the database manually, or use a plugin like you’ve tried. With a large data set this can be difficult so you will either need to find a guide or consider hiring someone (https://jobs.wordpress.net) to do it for you. This isn’t a WP Job Manager specific question.

    If you are sticking with the same install, there will be no need to do the above.

    Regarding Jobroller > WP Job Manager, the post types are the same, but the meta data and taxonomies are in a different format. I just mashed together a quick importer plugin (https://github.com/mikejolley/wp-job-manager-jobroller-import) which you can run to convert the data into the correct format.

    Backup before using this if you choose to! This is new; just written so there may be bugs. In my limited testing it worked fine, converting company, location, and thumbnails across to the new format.

    From my side I’m more that happy to market it to our JobRoller customers that have bought our child themes and plugins for JobRoller. This way it’ll be easy to pitch to our JobRoller customers as the conversion is cheap and easy.

    You could use Mike’s experimental plugin for importing JobRollers jobs to WP Job Manager – more at https://github.com/mikejolley/wp-job-manager-jobroller-import.

    Jobify is just the theme being used and WP Job Manager is theme independant ??
