    Hi There

I have three widgets – one for the main Woocommerce shop page, and one each for the two product categories.

My shop page display is set to Show categories & products, so instead of displaying the widget I set to be visible only on the shop page, it is showing the widget for the product category (whichever category the first product on the page belongs to).

Is it possible to exclude the category widgets from the main shop page?

Current visibility settings for each widget:

    shop:
    Show widget if
On any page of these types: Pages
    Only these pages: online shop

    cat1:
    Show widget if
    Product categories: Category1

    cat2:
    Show widget if
    Product categories: Category1

    Thanks
    Rae

  • Hello @raestanton

    Hope you’re doing well!

Out of the box , it is only possible to have only one option, either Hide or Show a widget.

To exclude the category widgets from the main shop page, you may add a widget and select Hide widget if, choose Pages, tick the option “Only these pages”. Look for the Main shop page to hide the widget there.

    Hi Nastia

Hmm, that doesn’t actually help in this instance, as that displays the widget on all OTHER pages! I only want it to display on the category product pages.

Is there something else you can suggest please?

    Thanks
    Rae

    Hello @wpmudev-support9,

    I hope you’re doing well!

Out of the box, the Custom Sidebars is not integrated with the Woocommerce plugin.

What you can achieve is to create a sidebar and in SideBar location choose As Sidebar for selected Archive Types and select Products Archives. Please see the screenshot:
    https://monosnap.com/file/lEds6ztf9v8UXuXb2GWb5eIk9dzfI8
This will show a sidebar on all product archive pages.

After this, please add the widgets, and hide/show widgets based on the taxonomy (product category).

So you will be still using one sidebar for all the categories, but you can set up different widgets depending on the category.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Nastia
