    Hi,

I’ve set up the feed and Google Shopping for our online wig store, but we have around 25 colour variations of some wigs and over 300 wigs (so a lot of products/variations!). Each of these wigs are getting pulled through to merchant centre in the feed due to being a variant of the master product. Is there a way of excluding the colour variations and just having the ONE master product pull through into merchant centre and Google Shopping?

    Thanks

  • Hi Cargoodrich,

Thanks or using our plugin and reaching out to us.

Google (and Facebook and most of the other channels) require you to add variants of a products and do not allow you to add the mother/master version of a product. They even require you to remove the mother product when you have versions of it. That is why our plugin also removes the mother product from the feed when there are versioned products of it.

Get to think of it it makes sense too. After all, you cannot even buy the mother product. A mother product also doesn’t have a price, it is the versioned products of the mother that can be bought and have a price.

You can ofcourse still exclude individual variants by using filters or the exclude checkbox.

    Hope this makes sense?

    All the best,
    Eva
