How to exclude one post category from a loop

    Hello Eliot

    I’m sorry – I’m sure you will have been asked this a thousand times but I couldn’t find the info by searching.

    I am trying to list recent posts but exclude one category. This is the loop I have tried but it doesn’t work:

    [loop type=post count=4 exclude=”podcasts”]

    Could you advise what the code should be please.

    I’ve finally worked it out for myself. In case it helps anyone else, the code would be:

    [loop type=post count=4 category=”-00″]

    where 00 is the ID of the category to be excluded.
