How to exclude from category

Hi, is it possible to exclude the inline related links from a category? I’m using the plugin with the option to create the related links only from category (no tags), so I figured there should be a way to filter out a category (or a few). Because if I have 100 posts in a category I’ll have to edit each post manually in order to remove the inline links.

If there is no such feature, is it something easy to do by adding some sort of php filter in the plugin files? If that works, what line of code should I add?
