Is network activating the plugin required for multisite? Or is activating on the root domain enough to protect all sites on the network? Trying to keep the bruteforce stats and dashboard data from showing to clients and activating in the root (not the network) prevents this ….

Noticing that we are still seeing load spikes on our server due to brute force, so not sure if this is from the initial spike before detection or if it is caused by only having the plugin activated for the root site!

    Thanks in advance!

It does need to be network activated, but you can set the stats to only show on the network admin.

You WILL see a slightly higher load with BruteProtect when it is first installed, as we cache information on IPs, but that should be reduced fairly quickly

Thank you. I don’t see any options for deactivating the stats and dashboard info for the sub sites on the install, there is an option to only show “Admins” … however each website owner is an admin …. we would need only “Super Admins” to see the stats … there are less than a thousand sites, but it is still too much to go into each dashboard, one by one to uncheck the BruteForce stats via the “screen options” section in the top right of the dashboard … It might be a good idea to give this control in the future since it’s not uncommon for clients to be Admins, yet not want technical info or outside links that are confusing in the dashboard …

We used the white label branding plugin to disable the stats on the network …

    Thanks!
