    Dear W3-Cache-Team,

is it possible to purge the page cache automatically, when the user changes:

    • A setting, e. g. the menu
    • A plugin configuration
    • Something in the media library

Or is it only possible when a post or page is created or edited?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Hello @jakobwak

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!

This is not possible and there are a several reasons for this. W3TC cannot know what kind of action is takend once any of the plugin cofiguration is changed, meaning what is the action to save those settings. This is also the case when doing something in the media library.
So for example, the Publish button trighers the cache purge once the content is updated or new content is created.
Also, purging the cache, depending on the server, and the options used, can be a resource consuming proccess and purging the cache all the time is not suggested and it’s couter productive.

This is why you can manually purge the cache once those types of changes are made that you mentioned.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks!
