    Hi there,

    I’m using WooCommerce 6.9.4 and am using the Avada theme. Customers with Gmail addresses often do not receive their Order Details email with the link to download their purchase.

    I have resent the Order Details email to a customer who checked out as a Guest. She now is asking me to send the email to a different email address, but I can’t find any way to change the email on the Order Details page. I’ve searched on several search engines and looked through the Forum, but can’t see any way to fix this. Any suggestions?

    I guess I could just send her a link to the product, but I think then that link could be shared with anyone, so it’s not the best business practice.

    I keep trying to find how to edit this post, since I left out a word in my subject. If someone can help me do this, or do it for me, that would be great.

    What I meant to put was “How to CHANGE email address for customer who checked out as a Guest”

    Hello,

    As an alternative solution, you can head to WooCommerce > orders. Select the order you are looking for, edit the email address.

    Then you will want to update the order status again, so that the new email will be triggered.

    However, you will want to consider if this is a good practice (depending on your needs), or if you prefer to process a refund, and ask the customer to process the order again using the correct email they want in their order.

    Hi Igor H,

    I had never noticed that little edit symbol in the Order Details page. I was able to open up the Billing section and change her address. I did select to “email order details to customer”. Now I hope that she receives the email at the correct address!

    That is correct, this should re-send the order details to the new email you have set in the billing information. I will go ahead and mark this as solved.
