How to eliminate dates sneaking into meta description for non-post pages

  • I’m finding that on search engine result pages, results that show any of my pages sometimes have a date displayed before the custom meta description for a page. Any one know of a way to disable this, so a date isn’t displayed?

    An example of what a result looks like:

    TITLE TAG
    May 25, 2011 … (the meta description I wrote for the page).
