How to Eliminate Comments from Pages

    Hi. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked with WordPress. I am trying to create a basic website using the Chateau theme and I cannot figure out how to disable the comments feature on the posts and pages. Is it possible to do this with this theme, since I can’t find the option?

    If it’s not possible to get rid of this comments feature with the Chateau theme (https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/chateau/), can anyone recommend a similar theme that does allow for it?

  • if you go to admin, pages and quick edit on the page you are doing you should have the option to uncheck comments ??

    For post: On the post page, at the top right, there is a tab called Screen Options, click and a drop down should show different fields that can be shown. Check the box next to Discussion. Under the post field where you type the actual post will be a field labeled Discussion and you can uncheck the box for allowing comments

    Of my 5 pages, the comments are turned off on three. I don’t know what I did for that to happen, but I’d like to turn off the comments on the other two pages. HELP!
