• I inherited a site that uses the Thesis theme, something that makes no sense at all to me. But I try.
Now, I had a plugin that I didn’t find useful, so I deactivated and deleted it. But the javascript code is still sitting in the <head> – which I cannot find in Thesis!
There are also css links there that are screwing up my site and I need to remove them. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • As this is a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors. in the meantime, have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Something like 20 plugins to deactivate. Blah. I did the reset on the folder via FTP – seemed faster and easier.
Somewhere along the line it removed leftover css code from the head, but the plugin script is still there. Makes no sense to me.
While plugins turned off, the script was still there.

I’d love to go ask the people who made this theme how to use it, but I can’t get in touch with the person who originally registered for the theme to get the login info.

Anyway, I was hoping to find someone here who uses the theme (obviously I don’t expect people to go buy it just to help lil ol’ me!) and can lend a hand…. No worries though. I will eventually re-configure a free theme to mimic my current layout, etc. Someday … when I have a week or two! lol
