I can edit everything else in Neve except, strangely, the social media icons at the very bottom of the standard page template I’m utilising.

There are three default icons for the theme template I’m using, for Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. These go to URLs such as:

    https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=&text=

I can ammend the icons in various ways. I can add and remove them.

However, no matter what I try there isn’t an option to actually edit the URLs people are sent to when they click the icons! Spent a couple of hours trying to look for an option everywhere, searching instructions etc.

How can one customize the URLs please?

    Thanks very much.

  • Hi,

Those social icons come from the Otter Blocks plugin and there is no option to customize the links. Those links are dynamically generated to share the current link of the page that has the social icons on.

Thank you Rodica! That’s greatly appreciated. Wasted hours on it.

Is there any way I can add social icons there that I may customise? Can I use other plugins within the Neve theme template?

    Can anybody assist please?

I’m stuck with these useless uneditable social icons.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi @azaminfo,

You can definitely use other plugins and then add content as widgets to footer if needed. Also, using the PRO version of Neve social icons can be added out of the box without any additional plugins.

    I hope that helps!
