How to Edit the Little Browser Icon

  • By “the little browser icon”, I mean the little icon beside the url which changes for every site you go to. For example it’s a W with a circle around it now since you’re on wordpress… facebook uses a blue box with an f in it… and so on.

    Anyway, I actually found where these icons were located, and I edited them and created my own, then replaced them in the folder they’re in.

    For some reason they’re still not showing up though. Does anyone know what else I have to change to get these to work?

  • You need to create a new favicon.ico and upload it.

    That’s what I did, but it wasn’t changing.

    I changed the file name of favicon to something else, and edited the code to fit, which for some reason made it chage.
