I recently migrated my WordPress.com site over to www.remarpro.com. I had to use a new theme and opted for the Press Book News Dark one. I managed to get all the pages to look decent, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how I edit the base page that’s used for all my posts. I don’t see it anywhere on my dashboard.

In the previous theme I used, I did this by changing the template. Unfortunately, I can’t find any templates on my dashboard either. The only options that show up on my dashboard under Appearance are: themes, patterns, customize, widgets, menus, header, background, and pressbook news. None of these allows me to find or edit the template that my posts are pulling from.

I figured out how to manually get templates to show up (by disabling a SiteGround plugin), but then the only way to edit said templates involves using pure code. I’m not computer-savy enough to do that. I just want to use the block editor to fix a few things on the post pages.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The previous theme you were using might be a block theme.

This one is a classic theme and it has options (Appearance > Customize > Blog Options) you can use.

You can also check Header Block (Appearance > Customize > Header Block) or Footer Block (Appearance > Customize > Footer Block) to insert something on those areas using block content.

You would need to enable them just for post view only with “Show in Posts” option.

Since it’s a classic theme, it does not come with template editing (in WP admin) for single post view (as in block themes).
