    Hi @zlandali,

By default in WooCommerce, there is no way to update the item price on the order details page. In order to edit the product price, you would need to access the Edit Product page and change the price under Product data > General.

If a customer placed an order and agreed to a price for an item, I’m not sure why you’d want to change it. However, you could accomplish that by using custom coding but this is outside the scope of support we’re able to provide on this forum. If you would like to investigate that possibility further, you could reach out to some of the official WooCommerce development partners via this link: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the response. I guess I understand why it isn’t natively built into Woo. Indeed, if a customer agrees to a price on the front end, one shouldn’t need to edit/change the price on the back end.

However, for our business we have walkins who we need to “ring up” in the back end. Often times we negotiate with these customers the prices. It would be nice to be able to edit the prices somehow in the back end.

Do you have any other work around for this that you recommend?

    Hi @zlandali,

Do you have any other work around for this that you recommend?

Well, apart from custom coding as advised by @rainfallnixfig, I can think of 2 workarounds here:

    1. You could apply coupons to the order – applying a coupon will bring down the item prices through a discount.

    2. You could add a fee to the order in the backend. You can use this to either bring up or down the order total.
For instance, in the following screenshot, I added a fee of -10 to bring down the order total:

You can find more info in this guide – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/#editing-or-adding-order-items

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hey, thanks for the response.

Unfortunately, the work around recommended wouldn’t work in my case, because our typical order might have over 50 different items, all with unique pricing.

The issue I am having is that I need a quick and easy way to edit items prices on the go. Perhaps a POS plugin would be the best solution, but I have found none that are also compatible with “user role based custom pricing” plug ins.

Does anyone happen to know of any?

    Hi @zlandali,

What I’d recommend is checking also other channels where many of our developers hang out and may have ideas on what could be the best way forward here:

    Hope this helps.
