Some subscribers fill the email address with error, like “gmoil” oy whatever. How can we fix it?

    Hi there @betoarisi,

From your MailPoet > Subscribers list, you can click to open and Edit individual subscribers, and can update their email address from there:

    edit email

If they are a WordPress user or Woo Customer though, then you will need to edit the actual user account instead of editing it in MailPoet.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hello kellymetal, thanks for the answer but I already tried to edit email addresses this way and only few works. Almost all doesn’t allow edition. In my store, customers are not obligated to create an account, so no wordpress or woo user accounts to edit. We have 10% of subscribers in this situation so it’s a very important issue. There is another way to solve this? Thank you.

    Hi there @betoarisi,

Are those subscribers appearing on the “WooCommerce Customers” list at all?

Even if they are “Guest orders” without a registered user account, the Billing email on the order would still be synced to the WooCommerce Customers list in MailPoet.

For one of the “uneditable” email addresses in MailPoet, please try searching for it in your WooCommerce > Orders list, using the “Search orders” field not the “Registered customers” search filter:

    search orders

If the email address was used as a billing address on an order, then this should bring up the order. From there, you can “pencil icon” on the order to edit the billing address and fix the email address.

After that, go to MailPoet > Lists and click the “Force sync” option on the WooCommerce Customers lists. Give it a few minutes to complete syncing, then check again to see if the email address is fixed in your MailPoet subscribers list.

Thanks for he help, I tried that, but they are not in the woocommerce customers lists. So I still can’t fix the issue. I’m afraid I will need to find another way to manage my lists because 10% of my customers it’s in this situation.

    Hi there @betoarisi,

Thanks for getting back to us!

Can you please share a screenshot of the Edit subscriber page where editing is not allowed?

I recommend https://snipboard.io/ for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!

    Hi there @betoarisi,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

Hi, I have the same problem.

I have users who have changed their email addresses within WordPress …. but the mailpoet lists still use the old address.

I’ve tried force syncing but this does nothing.

I tried to edit the users entry in the list, as above, but also have the users email, first, last name all greyed out and uneditable.
In the lists drop down it does not show the WordPress Users list.

I did delete a user from the wordpress users list ( from viewing his name in subscribers – not by deleting them from WP ). But now I am unable to get them back into the list.

I note that there is an entry using the new email address in the Woocommerce list – but I have no idea how to move that to the WordPress list. I do not use the Woocommerce list at all. I just use segments of the WordPress list. Or would if they worked properly.

All a bit frustrating just to try and send an email to all my members!
