How to edit and change position of a post's date stamp in twenty twelve

    Hello

    I know this has been discussed elsewhere but I’m afraid I still can’t find a solution.

    I’d like to move the date stamp (entry-meta?) from the bottom of the post content to the top, just below the post heading/title.

    And I want to delete the whole of “This entry was posted in [category] on”, so it just says the date, i.e.

    February 13, 2013

    Can I move the position, and delete the preceding text (utility-text?) by doing something in my child style.css file? I’m using twenty twelve.
