How to echo venue city in a template?

I’ve been looking for a few hours for a solution. I’m trying to create a gig listing for my band. City is an essential piece of information on all event lists.

I have modified the widget template and the single event template, but haven’t been able to echo the city field. Is there a function for this? If not, that would be a really useful addition.

I’m able to get the desired listing by using the shortcode, but would also like to list the event_venue_city on the event page itself, and would prefer to use custom templates instead of shortcodes. Any help would be appreacited!
