• 3.0.0 is total disaster!
Pages auto refresh till they reach a timeout.

To get back to 2.6.X version, you should follow the following steps:
    1. On wordpress: DO NOT remove woocommerce plugin from WordPress!, just DISABLE it!
    2. You must save and extract woocommerce 2.6.X on your PC.
    3. On your PC find woocommerce directory where woocommerce.php is.
    4. Login you cPannel on your host website.
    5. Go to File Manager and click the search magnifier icon.
    6. Search for “woocommerce”
    7. Find the directory where woo commerce is at the end of the path XXX/XXX/woocommerce
    8. Establish an FTP connection with your website (I am using FileZilla).
    9. On the local PC, go to woocommerce directory ((as shown in step 3 above)
    10. On your web host site go to the woocommerce directory (as shown in step 7 above).
    11. Both local and web sides on your FTP application should look identical in file structure and directories.
    12. (make sure again your corrent woocommerce plugin on WordPress is disabled, but not removed!
    13. On you web directory of your FTP app, delete all!!! It takes a few minutes to complete, be patient till it ends completely and all is deleted.
    14. On your FTP app, copy the all files and directories to the web direcory you just deleted. Wait till i completes.
    15. Go to your WordPress site and activate the woocommerce plugin.
    16. Now you are working on the previous version

  • That is definitely not a recommended way to run 2.6 instead of 3.0 because there are also database adjustments that you definitely don’t cover.

If you already have a woocommerce shop and upgraded to 3.0 you can simply use your backup to get back to the old version…hopefully you are making backups before major releases.

If you want to start with woocommerce 2.6 instead of 3.0 simply download:
    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/releases/tag/2.6.14

I simply added 2.6.14 as a new plugin and uploaded it as a zip file to my WP dashboard.

I agree. It was a shot in the foot! ??

3.0.1 fixed the redirect issue. I’d suggest you try that before messing with past versions.

Hi, i found a great bug in your latest version. my customer cannot see any pay now button of payment pending order. also they are unable to checkout/place order. once place order button clicked they are seeing “order status pending” cannot be paid for it etc.

I already posted in your support forum but not answered yet.

It really is horrible. I’m thinking of going back to last version. The new product image zoom and gallery thumbnails have ruined my product pages. Some of my products have as many as 25 images pushing the product description way down the page and it just looks like crap. Thanks WOo.

    As for this:
“1. On wordpress: DO NOT remove woocommerce plugin from WordPress!, just DISABLE it!”

Too late. I’ve already deleted it. I deactivated it before I deleted it. But I did delete it.

    So am I screwed now?

I now need to install one version or the other without, whether it’s 2.6.14 or some other version.

    What should I do?

I can confirm. It looks dramatically, but the worst is, that customers cannot find “Add to cart” button, they simply lose their patience scrolling down through big images. Of course there is a sollution – removing any product images, but that is not the point.

So reuploading the images will solve the problem ?

    Thanks .

Did this work out ok?? I’m only doing this because of all the depreciated code…So many plugins that were working fine before has been afftected

The plugin “WP Rollback” saved my day!

I just updated my Woocommerce version to 3.3.0 and then: Chaos! The homepage showed a random product page and other stuff was rotally messed up…

But with that plugin “WP Rollback” I was able to undo that disaster with just 1 click.

    Description

Quickly and easily rollback any theme or plugin from www.remarpro.com to any previous (or newer) version without any of the manual fuss. Works just like the plugin updater, except you’re rolling back (or forward) to a specific version. No need for manually downloading and FTPing the files or learning Subversion. This plugin takes care of the trouble for you.

Can’t promise anything, but for me it worked perfectly and it just took less than a minute (to install the plugin and downgrade Woocommerce to the last version).
Hope this might help others as well!

+1 for WP Rollback, worked a treat for me!

+1 WP Rollback, saved my site from showing garbage information.

+1 for WP Rollback plugin. Install and activate it and then in your regular plugins list there will be a “Rollback” link next to every plugin. I went from 3.3.1 to 3.2.5 and my store is working again.
