I’m “very” new to SEO and new to WordPress in general.

I had decided to install rank math but quickly realized it’s not for me so I deleted it and install the SEO framework.

In rank math, I have to add a new sitemap manually on google search console. Do I have to do the same thing with The SEO Framework? I have no idea which URL to add a new sitemap since there are many URLs on the XML page.

It’s said on top of the page that
“This is a generated XML Sitemap, meant to be consumed by search engines like Google or Bing”

So these URLs on the XML page will be fetched by google search console automatically? and all I need to do is “waiting”? or I need be doing something please advise

    thank you,
    Peem

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Peem,

Google can find the sitemap automatically; we also hint to it via the /robots.txt output. But, you can submit it manually.

You can find the sitemap by adding this to the URL of your website: /sitemap.xml

All of the URLs listed there are for search engines to consume. The sitemap will be updated as you change and add pages to your website. TSF automatically notifies search engines of these changes via pinging. No further action is required from you.

Once Google (or another search engine) spots changes in the sitemap, they’ll process the URLs in their queue.

When there’s processing power available on Google’s server, they’ll go through the changed/new pages and fetch their content. A bit later, they’ll process the pages and evaluate the HTML content and tags for ranking.

To close, search engines don’t rely solely on the sitemap. They also have “spiders” available, which “crawl” the web autonomously. They “follow” everything that resembles a link and go through the same process as described above.

I hope this helps! To learn more, please refer to Google’s website:
