How to do Excerpt on the main page

  • I’m trying to do a news based site, I’m using the theme Yuuta
    in the theme I’m trying to make the post on my main page have quote excerpt’s with a button at the button that says read more or view article does anyone know how to do this?

    To get a visual, On my site blackbooknotes.com I want to have the read more or view article instead of the comment button. How to do I do that in editor?

    In Settings – Reading, click Summary radio button instead of Full text button
