• I am a new starter with wordpress using the customizr theme.

    In the page editor I would like to insert a break so that subsequent text will not appear to the side of preceeding content – effectively I want to insert

    <br clear=”all”>

    or

    <br style=”clear:both;” />

    but when I insert either of them into the Text view of the page editor they are ignored, and the next time I click the Text tab they have disappeared. So maybe this is not supported.

    Is this a problem with WordPress or just the Customizr theme?

    How can I insert a <break clear=”all”> ?

  • Try using <br />

    No that doesn’t work either.

    Click the Text tab and insert that br tag as you quoted.

    Then click the Visual tab, then click back to the Text tab again – the br tag is no longer there. It just seems to be ignored and removed by the page editor.

    Any ideas how to do this?

    Try refreshing the page (Ctrl/F5) and the tags reappear.

    Do you need to keep switching Visual/Text?

    Did you try TinyMCE Advanced plugin?
