How To Display Your Own Video.. Without YouTube?

Hey guys, I know there are a lot of great solutions for displaying YouTube video and 90% of the time that’s gonna be the right answer. However, more and more, YouTube is aggressively blocking videos I want to post. Whether it’s a soundtrack I’ve added, or a video clip I’ve inserted, even if it’s only 10-15 seconds the video is blocked for copyright content.

My theory then was to host the video on my own server, and display it myself. I also read an article that talked about converting it to Flash and since the file size is 25% smaller. Problem is I can’t find any plugins or widgets to do that. I think it’s because I’m just so new to WordPress, it’s gotta be doable. Either way I’m open to any ideas that would let me post my video uncensored. Thoughts?
