How to display venue map for a region even if there are no venues yet?

How do I get the Event Organiser WordPress plugin to display a venue map of lets say: Alberta, without actually having any venues?

I tried to create a random venue for Alberta, Canada but then it stayed zoomed in to the center of Alberta instead of fitting the province on the map’s screen. Also, how would I go about hiding the marker?

I’m thinking of doing if(venue == Alberta | British Columbia | etc) { // hide marker} in the appropriate file
