How to display uncategorized events?

  • I want to have three sections on my events page:

    Upcoming
    short code for that
    Recorded
    short code for past and category = recorded
    Past
    short code for uncategorized past events

    I can’t figure out how to get the last category to work – i.e. exclude the ones categorized as recorded.

    I could manually create another category and have the first and last sections select on that, but then it would be very handy to have a default category for new events. I did try to use the category slug “”, but that still found all past events.

    any help here?

    Hi,

    Because not every user uses event categories I decided not to have a default category for new events. So you should manually select the category for every event.

    Currently you cannot exclude certain categories, but I will look into this. Might add this in next update.

    So for now you should create your own default category. And use the event categories attribute for listing those events in the frontend of your site.
