How to display summary only in front page

  • Hi all,
    I notice only by choosing “Gallery” format that a post will show a summary at the front page (continue reading…). But I’m not sure if this is the correct practice?

    I’m also not sure the purpose of the various Format like standard, quote, link, etc. Any reference URL/doc for that?
