    I wanted 30 slides in this slideshow, but the slide numbers under the slide show only display 25 slide numbers, arranged in 2 rows. Clicking the right arrow advances to the next slide and displays the missing the slides, but you can’t go in and click for instance slide #28. Is there a setting to set the number of slide numbers displayed?

    The issue can be found here: https://homespecialistsinc.com/next-dollhouse-projects/
    The preview works: Yes / No
    It works with other themes: Haven’t Tried
    It works when I disable all other plugins: Haven’t Tried
    Meta Slider version: 3.20.0

  • Hi,

    There’s no limit to the number of slides. My guess would be you have another plugin or function in your theme that is filtering posts and limiting everything to 25. Any mechanism like that you can think of?

    Thanks for your input!

    I just deactivated all plugins except MetaSlider and added a few more slides to increase the slideshow to 30 slides. I had the same result. The maximum number that was displayed was 25, although clicking the right arrow allowed scrolling through and displaying the additional slides. I’m wondering if this has to do more with the number of rows of slide numbers that can be displayed? The 25 slides takes up 2 rows, and additional slide numbers would need a third row. Maybe there’s a limit to the number of rows available?

    I’ve since removed the additional slides and reactivated my plugins.

    Hi,

    If it’s not a plugin conflict then it’s a theme or maybe something from the server. I can’t access your site as WordFence is blocking me for some reason.

    Do you see any errors in the browser console?

    I added a few more slides, so there are now 27 slides. I found some warnings, but Don errors in the console, but don’t know what to do about them, or even if they apply to this problem.

    I have WordFence set to block IPs from outside the US. If you’re outside the US, let me know what country to unblock.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay, I was traveling. I am now in the USA and your site loads. I think the page updated though as I only see the two slides. Can you give a link to a page with the slider broken?

    Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. I had moved that slideshow to a different page. Here’s the link: https://homespecialistsinc.com/handyman-services/dollhouse-restoration/ It’s the 2nd slide show on the page titled “Penelope’s Dollhouse”.

    Hi,

    The slides are there, it’s just the navigation o that theme you’re using isn’t designed to include that many slides, so it’s being pushed below the other slider. You can increase the spacing as needed. You just add some CSS:

    #metaslider_2066 {
        margin-bottom: 1rem;
    }

    Note that 2066 in the above is the slider ID, so if you want to adjust others you just add a new rule and update the ID.

    Let me know how that works.

    Thanks for the advice about the CSS. I’m not a programmer though and I don’t know where to put that CSS. I put the site together, but don’t know anything about customizing it. Could you tell me where to add it? There’s a place in advanced options for the MetaSlider called CSS Classes but entering it there didn’t change the way it works. There’s a similar place when editing the page but didn’t do it either.

    It should go into your theme’s CSS file, or otherwise you can probably find a plugin that handles it (search for something like “add CSS” on the plugins search page).

    Or our pro version has a place for adding CSS too.

    I did it! Success! I installed the “Simple Custom CSS and JS” plugin v3.35 from SilkyPress.com and added the CSS you provided.

    Thank you very much for your helpful advice. I really appreciate it!!

    Great to hear! Let me know if you run into any more issues.

    ?By the way, if you’re enjoying MetaSlider please leave us a 5-star review. They really help us out and let others find our plugin more easily.
    ?If you don’t think we deserve the 5 stars please let us know how we can improve, too. Thanks!

    I just submitted my review as follows:

    “This is a very easy to use plugin to display slideshows. I’m not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination, but was able to make some really great slideshows that highlight my work. There are different formats you can choose and you can customize it to do just what you want.

    The tech support is absolutely wonderful. I wanted to do some things outside the norm, and even though I’m not a programmer, Kbatdorf was patient with me, and showed me exactly how to do it. Thanks again to Kbatdorf!

    Thanks a bunch! ?? And any other issues you run into feel free to open another issue.
