  • Hi @rubenvankempen

We have several shortcodes, to display review information on any page.
Please check this documentation for details
    https://reviewx.io/docs-category/shortcodes/

    Thanks

    Hi Amin,

I saw that page, but I couldn’t find a shortcode to only display the stars.
    On a catalogue-page for example.

    Cheers

    Hi @rubenvankempen

We have a shortcode to display review statistics, where you can show star rating along with the rating number. Here it is [ rvx-stats product_id= ]

    Here is the detail: https://reviewx.io/docs/shortcode-to-display-product-statistics/

And if you want to display only stars, then sorry we do not have such a shortcode now, we may introduce it in the future.

We have a plan to make a series of shortcodes, so you can let us know your preference. Once a shortcode is released we’ll keep you posted.

    Thanks

    Hi Amin,

    Thanks for your quick respond.

    I would prefer:
    – show: only stars (like on woocommerce product archive page)
    – get the ID from the product (I place the shortcode on a template. So it’s used for several products from the same template)

I’m looking forward to the new update.

    Hi @rubenvankempen

    Thanks for your nice suggestions.

I am going to list down your suggestions on our public roadmap. Once we implement, I will let you know.

    Regards

    Amin

This option will make the plugin interesting for all kinds of Custom Post Type archive pages. Every custom webshop can use this to display scores of every product.

So I think this would be a big emprovement to the ReviewX-plugin.

This is one of the two last features I need to go live with the custom post type pages.
Please let me know if the feature comes available.

    Hi @rubenvankempen,

ReviewX also works with any custom post types, e.g. Movies, Books, etc.

I would highly recommend you to check this doc for more details with visual examples: https://reviewx.io/docs/how-to-use-reviewx-with-custom-post-types/

We also have a dedicated demo for it: https://demo.reviewx.io/movies/the-revenant/

    Thank you ??

    Hi Arifur,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

On the examples you recommended I can’t find a star-only example.

For any page with a catalogue / archive / webshop it would be nice to show (just only!) the stars of each product / post. The same way WooCommerce does. Perhaps even with the amount of reviews behind it.

You can find an example how I want it to look on the page I named, just like the screenshot on https://prnt.sc/veldha.
*This example doesn’t show the amount of reviews yet.

Let me know whether my explinantionis clear enough or not.

    Hi @rubenvankempen,

So you want something this screenshot https://nimb.ws/nWdzXE
    – (a)star rating (b)with review count on (c)catalog page

Your response will be helpful for us to understand the scenario more. Thank you.

    Yeah, exactly!

I would be nice if this feature could be inserted on a post- or productarchive.
So it would be part of a custom loop.

    Great, sounds interesting.
We’ll let you know once we release this tiny shortcode.

Ps. The same stars on a template for products / posts would make it complete.
The template is used for several posts / products.

    Hi @rubenvankempen,
I hope you are safe ??

@rubenvankempen, we just released an update ReviewX-1.2.2. Inside you’ll find a tiny shortcode ‘[rvx-star-count]’ which you’ll be able to use inside the product loop. This shortcode will fetch the product-ID and will display the star rating with the rating count.

Optionally this shortcode also accepts the product-ID as a parameter [rvx-star-count product_id=’xx’], So you can also use the product-ID to get the star rating count from the specific product.

I’m not sure that’ll help you or not. If that doesn’t help then I would suggest modifying your product archive template or you may get the consultancy from the professional WooCoomerce expert.

Thanks for being with ReviewX. If you have any further inquiries, please feel free to let us know.

    Hi Arifur,

    Thanks for the update!

With Woocommerce it displays the scores with text, in stead of stars. Is it meant to be like that?

With Custom Post Types it does not work, unfortunatelly.
Is it possible to add this feature?

Can you add the new shortcodes to https://reviewx.io/docs-category/shortcodes/?

I want the loop to look like this: https://prnt.sc/vhn0wg
