How to display product quanity remaining on front end? (shortcode, etc)

  • Hello,

    We have inventory control enabled for some products. We want to show the quantity remaining for the product somewhere in the product description or perhaps above/below the pay button. Is there a shortcode we can use that will show users the quantity remaining? This will give users a sense of urgency and incentive to buy as they see that a product has limited stock left and will be sold out soon.

    Please advise on a shortcode method or a php code/snipped insert how we can achieve this. I think it would be a popular feature for Stripe Payment plugin users.

    Out of curiosity, have you enabled the following feature Enable stock control for the product in question?

    Yes we have the enable stock control feature. This is fine for admin to see quantity remaining in the WP admin back end for Stripe Payment products, but what we want to do is show the product quantity remaining to the front-end user in the product description, etc.

    Is there a way to do this with shortcode? Or maybe you can make this an option in the Stripe Payment settings option: (Display quantity remaining? Yes/No)

    Do you have any ideas about my original question here? How to show the available quantity remaining for a product to the front-end users? And how to change “out of stock” text to something else like “Sold out”.
