How to display live cricket score

  • Hello All,

    Could you please help me to understand what could be the best approach to display live cricket score. A cricket match series is about to start in our city and could like to display the result live. IS there any plugin or any other way to get this.

  • As long as the website for the cricket match has an RSS feed, you can use that and a plugin to display the results.

    For example:

    Thank for the reply. Sorry if i was not clear i do not want to get the info from other website. It would be my website to show the score.

    I want to display the score of a local match here in our town. Hope it is clear.

    RSS feeds are generally how live scores are shown on websites unless you own the rights to the direct live score source. Where are you going to get the live score info from and how do you envision it being displayed?

    Ah, okay, now that makes sense :)! And sounds like a fun project too! But I don’t think there is any way to do that in WordPress except for uploading a new post or updating one every time the score changes.

    I’m guessing that’s not what you really want to do.

    I think you have to have other kinds of software on a computer to do it the way professional sports teams do – i.e. a live stream.

    Another option might be to use a Twitter feed on your site and post the scores via Twitter – I’ve seen other sports do that.
