Is there something like a block editor for sidebars?

Basically, I need to create some static content to show in the sidebar. Theoretically, I could do this with the custom HTML widget, but the content is long enough (and will require updating frequently enough) that that would be really inconvenient. Far more convenient would be a block editor for sidebars, or a plugin that can display the contents of a page in a sidebar, or something like that.

    Suggestions? Thanks.

Yeah, editing a lot of content in a widget leaves much to be desired. I’ve not heard of any such plugin, but it’d be worth doing some searching if you’ve not already done so.

You could keep a draft page of the sidebar widget content and do the updates on the draft page. Once ready to update the sidebar widget, switch the block editor’s view to code view and copy/paste the entire content into the widget, completely replacing whatever was already there. It sounds like a bit of a process, but by using select all, copy, and paste keyboard shortcuts, it can be done quite quickly and easily. At least better than editing in the widget IMO.
