how to display all the post under some specific catagory

I am going to create an new page in which I want to display all the posts of some certain catagory. After went through the document, I have no idea.

I tried to copy the code of index.php to the page template,but I have no idea how to pass the catagory parameter to the page.

Can someone help me? Thanks
