    Well, it should be linked in the list view…maybe I need to look more closely at this. In the list view, do you see the complete path to the uploaded file, or just the file name?

    Just the file name – no link.

    Well it would certainly normally show a link to the file. Are you using a custom template? Is the field defined as a file upload field?

    that page is just a regular page with this short code on it:

    [pdb_list template=detailed list_limit=25 fields=”presentation_date, presentation_time, presentation_title, author, ppt_file, pdf_file” orderby=”presentation_date, presentation_time”]

    ppt_file and pdf_file are fields with marked as “file” type.

    I see…unless you are using a custom template which you edited, you don’t need to use the “detailed” template. That template doesn’t set the links on file fields.

    doh! that fixed it. don’t know why i even had that switch in the shortcode. must have just copied and pasted it from somewhere.
