How to display a edited by [author name] in generate press

  • hi Support team i want to show Edited by, Published by [author name] in generate press theme. i own a news portal [ redundant link removed ] so i can check every post …. for publisher, editor, author ..

    please give me solution…

    not sure I fully understand.
    Are you wanting to show the names of each of the users who authored, edited and published the post ?
    eg,
    Edited by [editor name],Published by [author name]

    OR just have a label that says:

    Edited by, Published by [author name]

    Do you already have a custom field or a third-party plugin that stores the Editor of a Post?

    no, i’m not using any plugins for this

    This is not a theme function, as WordPress doesn’t store the editors usermeta in the post
    To get that value you would have to loop over the post revisions and get the meta from the last revision
    But that will require custom development which is out of our scope.
