    How is it possible to disable the new “warning on the Update and Plugins pages if a plugin’s contributors have changed since the last update” which was added in 0.7.0 of “Lord of the Files: Enhanced Upload Security”?

    While these warnings are not exactly a violation of 11. The plugin should not hijack the admin dashboard, they are still annoying.

    These warnings are also not really something which would be expected from a plugin which does “content-based validation” of uploaded files.

    Also there is no indication within the warnings which plugin is responsible for them.

    Thanks for your plugin, but please reconsider this feature.

    Thank you for the feedback!

    My hope was that such warnings would help alert site administrators to third-party plugins that might have been sold or hijacked since they were last updated. While not an “upload” in the media library sense, plugins and themes are external to the main WordPress software (and must be uploaded to work), which is why this feature was included in this plugin. ??

    BUT, I can see how these notices might not be appreciated or understood by everyone. I’ll add a “Do Not Show These Anymore” option to the next release so people can opt out.

    Thanks again!

    (Forgot to mention: the first line of the warning indicates which plugin is responsible. In your screenshot, the notices belong to BackupWP and Tablepress respectively.)

    Please do not tag topics with modlook unless there’s a good reason. There’s nothing in this topic that is a good reason for that.

    @ov3rfly,

    The version just released (0.7.1) improves the overall notice display, and also has a link that you can click to disable future notices if you do not find that information helpful.

    Thanks for the quick feedback and update.

    Would still recommend to add a note within the warnings that your plugin is responsible for them.
