How to disable the 'Posted on [date] by [name]' message??

I would like to remove the text ‘Posted on [date] by [name]’ that appears at the top and at the bottom of each event. Both [date] and [name] are links, [date] going to the same page (confusing!) and [name] is linked to a non-existing page.
I’d rather like to remove this line at the top and bottom.
