how to disable the cart tab in home page?

I am setting up a e-commercial website the cart tab is working fantastic, but my client doesn’t want the cart tab show in the home page. I had look though the cart-tab.php file and try to use is_page(‘home’) but still no luck. Does anyone can help me here?
