You are correct, that is a pro only feature, it is not available in the free version.
What you could do is to hide the slider which you don’t want to show in tablet and mobile. For this the best way would be is to use custom JavaScript codes, which you can put into your theme’s (probably) header.php file:

And what you should modify is the number in the #n2-ss-20-align and the #n2-ss-20-placeholder to your slider’s id.
Just the slider’s code would still be in your site, and the images, videos and other slide contents would still load, so the data and the load time wouldn’t change either.
