How to disable, or ‘flush’ language on front end?
-
Hello. Thanks for the plugin. It is quite powerful and easy to use.
I am however experiencing a small issue with your plugin. Specifically, I have used the WPML plugin to create a manual French language translation of my site. In addition, I use your plugin to allow visitors to switch to other language (e.g. Italian, Chinese, etc). The French site displays without issue when I open it directly (https://www.horizonhomes-samui.com/fr/). But if I first open the English language version of my site (https://www.horizonhomes-samui.com/), then use your plugin to apply a machine translation of a different language (e.g. Chinese), then navigate to the French home page (https://www.horizonhomes-samui.com/fr/), the page does not appear in French as expected—it is some mix of Chinese and French. How can I resolve this?
As you can see, when this occurs, it is quite difficult for a visitor to reset the language back to English or French.
To me, it looks like when I navigate to the French page in this manner, the page still thinks it needs to apply some machine Chinese translation. Is there a way to somehow rid the page of that notion whenever the French site is loaded, perhaps by ‘flushing’ some variable? Perhaps this can be accomplished with custom JavaScript or PHP?
Thanks in advance.
