• For admins this works great. But when a normal user (or woocommerce customer) logs in, they don’t have the password box and instead they are presented also the 2FA.

How can I disable this for normal users and ONLY enable 2FA for admins?

Normal users must be able to login with username/email + password.

I tried setting Preferred login method to ‘Prefer Password’. Now everyone gets a password field. Users can login. But admins do not get the 2FA after entering their password. Disabling the password for admin account results in an error: Logging in with password has been disabled for this account. And again no 2FA. With this setting users can login, but admins not.

When I set preferred login method to ‘Prefer Webauthn’, admins AND normal users must use 2FA to log in. Since normal users don’t have 2FA, they cannot login. With this setting admins can login, but users not.

When I set preferred login method to ‘Webauthn Only’, users can never login, just as ‘Prefer Webauthn’.

There are no more options, as far as I can see.

So it seems impossible to use this on a site that has normal users/customers (no 2FA) and admins (must use 2FA).

    Hi mike2972,

For now it is impossible to enable WebAuthn only for admins. This could be a new feature in future updates. Stay tuned ??

Really sorry for the late reply.
