How to Disable Comments on Certain Pages

    Hi,

    Have set Theme Level comments ON for Pages. On certain pages I want to disable comments, so used Page Level Options and unchecked “Discussion” and “Comments”, still I can see the comments.

    What’s the way out to disable comments on these pages?

    Can you provide a link to your actual website please? You should be able to control which pages can have comments and which ones do not. If you will provide a link to your site, I will certainly take a look into this and see what the problem may be.

    Have you tried deleting the cache on your site? Also, it appears that this is a premium Genesis theme, correct? I would try deleting your cache first, also, check in your theme’s control panel and make sure the option is not enabled in there. Often times when you are using a framework, their options will take precedence over WP.

    Hi Greg,

    Thank you for the reply.

    I’ve already written in my query that I’ve enabled the option in Theme Settings as I 100+ pages where I want Comments enabled and only 5 pages where Comments should be disabled.

    Yes, I’ve cleared Page Cache several times. But not helping.

    You should then be able to as you indicated, merely leave the box unchecked that allows for comments on any given page. However, you may want to actually go into your comments and delete the ones that are already there and then check again.

    Are you using a caching plugin on the site itself? If so, clear it out after you have deleted the comments from the pages that are affected then refresh and see if the ability to leave comments on the pages you are questioning still exist.
