What do you mean by “remove the classic editor”? Unless you’ve installed the “classic editor” plugin or one of the remove-gutenberg plugins, you’re only presented with the block editor.

It is still part of the WordPress bundle, but it’s not loaded unless it is requested by core or a plugin. There are a lot of scripts like that in the bundle.

@sterndata: I know classic editor, when I see it and @joyously supports its presence.
Is it possible to prevent plugins or scripts to use it and call Gutenberg instead?

As far as I know, the methods used in the plugins I mentioned are the only way to disable/hide the classic editor. Why is this an issue?

Plugins or scripts that are built to interface with the Classic editor need a lot of different code to interface with the Gutenberg editor.
