How to design new website without transferring domain

    My domain is currently hosted with 1and1 and I’ve used their web site builder.I want to design and set up my new site with WP first and then transfer the hosting to say Dreamhost

    If I transfer it first I’ll lose my content,hence wanting to have it ready and waiting

    Can this be done and how?
