How to Delete Yet-To-Be Approved Comments via phpMyAdmin

Hello, I have recently been asked to work on a site that is in dire need of a spam filter – it literally has thousands of spam comments, waiting to be approved.

I would like to mass delete all the comments that haven’t been approved via phpMyAdmin, but as I’m not very skilled with SQL, I don’t know what command I would do, or how I would execute it.

PS It’s a typical, run of the mill WordPress database, no weird mods to worry about.
