How to Delete unneeded crons?

    I recently uploaded a directory site with thousands of pages, I’m now getting threats from Hostgator about crons… here’s what they last said;
    “Unfortunately there are still a large number of cron processes that have not processed due to the time constratints in processing them. You may be able to locate some sort of plugin that will allow you to delete unneeded crons, which may help with the size of this task list, and in turn help to reduce the amount of work that the server is needing to do, which will help to prevent further restrictions.”

    I looked in the forum and someone mentioned “WP Crontrol” plugin, so I installed it (it’s untested for my version of WordPress) but when I view the plugin in my admin it just gives an allmighty list of cron events… I have NO IDEA of what is needed and what isn’t!

    Is there a plugin that will do this automatically?
    Or is there some other way I can overcome this problem with Hostgator?
    Any advice would be appreciated.
